To continue keeping the flame of passion ablaze, the College of Education-NLUC initiated Handog ng CE 2021 for the Typhoon Maring victims.

On October 12, Typhoon Maring made landfall in the Northern Philippines, bringing strong winds and heavy rains that have resulted in flooding, landslides, and widespread damage, which unfortunately, affected students of the College of Education. With the need for efficient and rapid assistance, several concerned faculty and students banded together and took it upon themselves to make use of what they have to help the students in their time of need. In parts of Luna, flood waters had risen to as high as the second floor of houses, leaving families stranded on rooftops.

For a quicker response, the Dean of the College, Dr. Nora A. Oredina, issued a call for volunteers to help track and verify pleas for relief. This outpouring of initiatives in light of the successive disasters pushed the College of Education to band together as a family and help consolidate rescue efforts, load requests, and relief drives for those heavily hit by the typhoon.
