Ms. Rima Q. Baldemor, re-elected President of the DMMMSU-South La Union Campus (SLUC) Non-Teaching Association (NTA,) was elected President of the University Non-Teaching Association (UNTA). The election was held on September 9, 2020 at the Covered Court, DMMMSU-Mid La Union Campus.
Fifty-six (56) newly elected Officers from the three (3) Chapters were present. The following are the other UNTA Executive Officers who will serve the Association for two years (2020-2022):
- Therese Palacpac (MLUC), Executive Vice President;
- Valoree Salamanca (CA), Vice President;
- Mindanao Gallardo (MLUC), Vice President;
- Rhett Gonzaga (SLUC), Vice President;
- Felix Benigno Navalta (NLUC), Vice President;
- Napoleon Cayabyab (NLUC), Secretary;
- Sonia Isip (NLUC), Assistant Secretary;
- Genevieve Arcano (NLUC), Treasurer;
- Violy Bernardo (SLUC), Assistant Treasurer;
- Meriam Valdez (MLUC), Assistant Treasurer;
- Vanessa Aquino (CA), Assistant Treasurer;
- Crestilyn Damasco (SRDI), Assistant Treasurer;
- Jesus Cala (SLUC), Auditor; and
- Jowan Aspiras (CA), Press Relation Officer.
Thirty (30) Board of Directors (10 each from SLUC, MLUC, and Bacnotan Chapter composed of the Central Administration, NLUC, SRDI, and NARTDI) were also elected. After the election committee declared the winners, President Baldemor extended her gratitude for the trust given her and she encouraged everyone to continue supporting all NTA undertakings for the benefit of the members and the University.
Baldemor, who is also the outgoing UNTA Executive VP, acknowledged the efforts of her fellow Officers who selflessly served the Association from 2018-2020.
