To ease concerns of students during the new normal, DMMMSU signed a Memorandum of Agreement with Agoo, Sto. Tomas, and Rosario LGUs on August 17, 2020.
Taking into account the guidelines by the IATF on the Implementation of Community Quarantine in the country, and the CHED advisory for the guidance of Higher Education Institutions in the conduct of classes for Academic Year 2020-2021, DMMMSU and the three mayors identified their specific duties and responsibilities for SLUC students residing in the said municipalities.
The three LGUs will provide assistance to DMMMSU students residing within their jurisdiction and help them receive education through alternative means. DMMMSU will deliver and retrieve learning materials to and from the LGUs. The municipalities will likewise allow students to use their public libraries. They can also assist students with no means of transportation going to and from the designated area where they can acquire learning materials and submit outputs.
Through this initiative, DMMMSU and the LGU’s hope to lighten students’ burdens and help them succeed despite the challenges during this academic year.
