DMMMSU OUS received 100 survival seed packs for backyard gardening from the Provincial Government of La Union.  Forty seed packs were distributed to DOUS employees while 60 seed packs will be distributed to its “Agmula tayo” extension project clients under the Project Tanglaw extension program.

Project Tanglaw is a three-year rehabilitation program for parolees who are clients of the Parole and Probation Administration (PPA) in Region 1.  “Tanglaw” is a Filipino term which means “light” symbolizing opportunities and possibilities for parolees.

With the seed packs, the parolees can start making their backyard garden or container gardening project which will serve as food source for their families during the COVID-19 pandemic. (Ces Mabalot)
