Three senior BS Information Systems (BSIS) students of DMMMSU-NLUC College of Information Systems (CIS) bagged the 1st prize best paper award during the “Regional Academic Conference for Educators and Researchers” held on December 22-24, 2019 at the Pangasinan State University, Lingayen.

The students are: Jowersli Tano, Alvin L. Partible, and Gezabel B. Verzosa, with Dr. Stephan Kupsch as adviser. Their winning paper is titled: “Smart Sarukod: Arduino-Based Walking Stick for the Visually Impaired.”

Another group of BSIS students of the same campus was also a finalist in the same tilt. They are: JM Bautista and Lambert Tapic.

The following NLUC BSIS students also successfully presented their research paper in the said conference: J Gab Zaplan Rivera, Shunro Banayos, Thara Leen Rimando and Vince Andrew.

Congratulations to the whole NLUC CIS Faculty, headed by Dean Edelita Ebuenga, for their overall guidance, inspiration and motivation.
