The DOUS Center for Professional Education held a Cultural Mapping Orientation for Local Government Units last Sept. 26, 2019.

The program is designed to capacitate the municipal LGUs to meet the requirements of RA 11292, also known as the “Seal of Good Governance Act of 2019”, particularly the criteria on the conservation and preservation of cultural property and the creation of a cultural property inventory.

The participants were also informed of the cultural heritage promotion and conservation component of good local governance indicated in the DILG Memo Circular No. 2019-44.

Mr. Farland Valera, Head of Extension and Partnerships at DOUS was the resource speaker and facilitator.
