DMMMSU, through the Office of the University Disaster Risk Reduction and Management, successfully conducted the School-Based Blood Drive in collaboration with the Philippine Red Cross La Union Chapter. This was held at the Audio-Visual Room, BPAA Complex, DMMMSU-NLUC, on February 19, 2025.

In his welcome remarks, Dr. Junifer Rey E. Tabafunda, Chancellor of DMMMSU-NLUC, emphasized the university’s commitment to community service and disaster resilience.
Dr. Jaime I. Manuel, Jr., President of DMMMSU, delivered a message underscoring the significance of the partnership with the Philippine Red Cross La Union Chapter, which aims to strengthen the university’s health and disaster risk reduction initiatives.
The MOA signing formalized the collaboration between DMMMSU and the Philippine Red Cross, represented by Director Eduardo Regal (Chairman, PRC La Union Chapter), Ms. Almira Abrazado (Chapter Administrator, PRC La Union Chapter), and Dr. Jaime I. Manuel, Jr. (DMMMSU President). Prof. Lilito D. Gavina, Vice President for Administration and Quality Assurance, was also present. In his closing remarks, he reiterated DMMMSU’s dedication to proactive healthcare initiatives.
Following the signing ceremony, the blood donation drive took place at the BPAA Complex Lobby, with the participation of students, faculty members, and staff. The initiative, held in partnership with the Red Cross, DMMMSU-NLUC NSTP, DRRM, and Health Offices, aimed to encourage voluntary blood donation and promote awareness of its life-saving impact.
DMMMSU’s partnership with the Red Cross highlights the university’s mission to integrate community service and public health awareness into its academic and extracurricular programs.
