“Ms. Gertrude A. Fontanilla, a businesswoman from San Juan, La Union, also expressed her gratitude to NARTDI. “Beekeeping is really interesting and I saw business opportunity in it,” she stated. “We hope for more advanced training like product development,” she added.
Mr. Romel O. Thank you. You treat us like your family, especially our trainers. We learned a lot from you. Personally, I saw an opportunity for a future research activity, and I hope I can make it into reality,” he said.
Dr. Joseph A. Panas, the Director of NARTDI, emphasized the significance of such training activities in promoting sustainable agricultural practices and enhancing local honey production. “Beekeeping is not only a sustainable agricultural practice but also plays a crucial role in environmental conservation. We are committed to empowering individuals and communities with the knowledge and skills needed to succeed in this field,” he said.
In her closing remarks, Dr. Venelyn L. Bersamira, the Chief of the General Administrative and Resource Generation Division, congratulated everyone for the successful conduct of the training and emphasized the importance of collaboration. (By Arvin C. Tuyan)
