Dangle, NARTDI Staff, met with IFSU officials at Tinoc campus headed by Ms. Daisy T. Bando, the Campus Executive Director of IFSU Tinoc.
This visit was not just about establishing a partnership, but about recognizing IFSU’s unique potential to become an apiculture satellite center. This strategic move further strengthens NARTDI’s mission to promote the beekeeping industry.
Dr. Panas highlighted the significance of this partnership. “IFSU’s strategic location and commitment to agricultural innovation make it an ideal partner for our beekeeping program. We look forward to a fruitful collaboration that will drive the growth of the apiculture industry in Ifugao,” Dr. Panas said.
During the visit, the group discussed enhancing the capabilities of IFSU by participating in beekeeping training at NARTDI. Ms. Bando committed to having some of her campus staff attend the training.
Ms. Bando, in expressing their enthusiasm for the collaboration, also highlighted the broader benefits. She said, “We are eager to work with NARTDI to enhance our capabilities in apiculture. Becoming a satellite center will not only benefit our university but also our local communities. The development of sustainable beekeeping practices will not only provide economic opportunities but also contribute to the preservation of our local ecosystem, a win-win situation for all.”
In addition, NARTDI conducted a thorough assessment of the Tinoc campus and surrounding areas to evaluate its suitability for beekeeping activities.
