The Physical Education Department (PED) of the College of Education (NLUC) spearheaded an Outdoor Camping as part of the culminating activity for the students enrolled in PATHFIT 104: Outdoor Activities at the Athletic Oval on May 10–11, 2024. Guided by the theme Exploring Nature’s Playground: Embracing Outdoor Adventure for Personal Growth and Well-Being, the activity aims to strengthen the students’ holistic well-being.
Dr. Nora A. Oredina, CE Dean, graced the program. In her message, Dr. Oredina emphasized the importance of authentic learning in developing the competence of the students.
Students from different colleges and institutes showcased their skills and teamwork in a series of engaging activities. The entire campus buzzed with enthusiasm as participants and team members alike cheered on their peers at every station. The event highlighted the students’ physical abilities and underscored the importance of sportsmanship and collaboration through recreational activities.
“This culminating event is not just about enjoyment. More importantly, it fosters a sense of community and camaraderie among students and faculty members. In the department, we always make an effort to provide a platform for students to gain invaluable lessons on and off the field,” Mr. Kevin M. Sibul, PED Chairperson, said.
