Lingayen, Pangasinan- University-based choir DMMMSU Chorale composed of students from different colleges at the South La Union Campus received a Gold Diploma in the Mixed Choir Category etching another top prize in their achievement list in the inaugural of the Pangasinan Choral Festival held on May 10-12, 2024 at the Sison Auditorium, Pangasinan Provincial Capitol Complex. The repertoire of the group are original compositions and arrangements made exclusively by their Choir Director, Mr. Renan N. Flores.

Aside from winning in the Mixed Category, DMMMSU Chorale qualified along with four other choirs in the Grand Prix Competition finishing with a historic Second-Runner Up placement among the pool of champions.

PCF Inc. and the Philippine Choral Director’s Association, led by Chief Judge Ramon Lijauco Jr., presented the gold diplomas and trophy to the DMMMSU Chorale.

Pangasinan Choral Festival is a collaboration of PCF Inc. and the Philippine Choral Director’s Association, which seeks to create a unifying environment among Filipino Choral groups. This year, the choirs were participated by choirs from Pangasinan, La Union. Bulacan, Tarlac, and Bataan.
