North La Union Campus faculty members, Dr. Analyn V. Sagun, Engr. Roel D. Supsup and Dr. Arnelie G. Laquidan, who presented DMMMSU’s Best Practices for Sustainable Agriculture Development won as champions during the 1st International Agripreneurships in Hydroponics Summit 2024 held at Zennor Hydroponics Farm, Salaza, Palauig, Zambales, on May 6–8, 2024.

The faculty members covered various farming approaches, hydroponic systems, and agribusiness in their talk. As the Champion, they also got the Best in Research and Development Program Award and the Best in Agribusiness Award. In addition, Dr. Sagun and Engr. Supsup were named 2nd runner-up in Seed Identification under Faculty Edition.

During the conference session, participating SUCs promoted their respective institutions in the areas of academics, agribusiness and entrepreneurship, innovations, digital agriculture technology, research and entrepreneurship, farming digital agriculture technology, research and development programs, farming practices, and international exchange students.

The event aimed to advocate the importance and value of good agricultural practices (GAP) in the Philippines and the global arena.

The Summit was organized by Zennor Hydroponics Farm and supported by the Department of Agriculture of Regional GAP Division and was generously sponsored by Harrogate Plant Produce- Tennessee, USA, Adaya Gardens – Qatar and East -West Seed Philippines.
