Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University (DMMMSU) took part in the nationwide quarterly simultaneous earthquake drill today.

At precisely 9 am, the drill started with a simulated earthquake scenario. Students, faculty, and staff practiced the “duck, cover, and hold” procedure followed by an organized evacuation to designated assembly points.

The nationwide earthquake drill is organized by the Office of Civil Defense and is conducted quarterly. The NSED for the fourth quarter of 2023 was held last November 9, with the OCD reiterating to the public to remember to avoid panic during an earthquake. (By ZMercado)
