Fifty-nine (59) Fourth-year Bachelor of Science in Psychology of the College of Arts and Sciences students organized and conducted a one-day Psychology Practicum Seminar on Professional Growth and Effective Interpersonal Communication last February 28, 2024, in preparation for their upcoming On-the-Job Training (OJT) this semester.
The first speaker, Mrs. Rima Q. Baldemor, Administrative Officer III, discussed the importance of professionalism in the workplace. Her presentation covered essential work ethics and techniques for maintaining a professional demeanor.
The focus shifted to practical job-seeking skills with Mr. John Mark G. Lachica, the University Stratcom Content Coordinator, who provided valuable tips on crafting effective resumes and strategies for successful job interviews. His session emphasized the importance of clarity and precision in both resumes and the interview process.
The seminar concluded with Mrs. Angelita S. Domondon, Guidance Counselor III, who discussed personality traits and emotional regulation in professional settings. She underscored valuable insights that guide the incoming OJT students on how to interact effectively with co-workers and superiors.
With its theme, ‘Elevate, Communicate, Thrive,’ the seminar prepared the 59 soon-to-be student interns and equipped them with more than just theoretical knowledge but a profound understanding of on-the-job training.
