Dr. Sonia B. Siago, DMMMSU’s Director for Library Services and Development and elected President of the Consortium of Multi-Stakeholders Advisory Committee (MSAC) Libraries, along with other Officers and the Board of Directors, was inducted into office at DMMMSU-NLUC Main Library on February 23, 2024.
DILG R1 Regional Director Jonathan Paul M. Leusen Jr., CESO III, led the oath-taking of the newly designated officers of the MSAC Consortium.

The induction ceremony coincided with the 1st Quarter 2024 Multi-Stakeholders Advisory Committee (LGRRC-MSAC) cum Consortium of MSAC Libraries Meeting conducted by the Local Governance Regional Resource Center (LGRRC). Paulino G. Lalata Jr., CESO V, LGRRC 1 Manager and Department of the Interior and Local Government 1 Officer-in-charge- Assistant Regional Director (DILGR1 OIC-ARD), spearheaded the event.
Following the event, Dr. Sonia B. Siago conducted a meeting among the librarians. In addition, Ms. Rubylyn C. Narra, Head Librarian of MLUC, alongside Mr. Mark Vien Vinluan, Library Staff, presented the best practices of DMMMSU Libraries. Dr. Nancy F. Galban, Head Librarian of SLUC, and Ms. Claire P. Pascua, Head Librarian of OUS, were also present during the event. Moreover, the Technical Working Group (TWG) Consortium Members presented the DILG Collection Development Policy (CDP) Manual for review and approval. The meeting concluded with the establishment of Planning Performance Agreements (PPAs) for Fiscal Year 2024.
LGRRC-MSAC is an initiative that aims to consolidate and share a wealth of knowledge and information from various National Government Agencies (NGAs) and Local Resource Institutes (LRIs) to promote efficiency, effectiveness, learning, and innovation in local governance.
