During his opening remarks, Dr. Junifer Rey E. Tabafunda, NLUC Chancellor, articulated the significance and objectives of the training. Dr. Minerva Tabafunda, Head of Campus Research, further elucidated the purpose of the gathering, emphasizing its role in advancing gender and development initiatives. Engr. Julie Ann Sapitula, Head of Gender and Development, introduced the speaker, setting the stage for a knowledge-rich session.
Ms. Fatima Ross Perez, GAD Resource Pool Member from NEDA Region 1, conducted two sessions — the “Introduction to Harmonized Gender and Development Guidelines (HGDG)” and the practical application of HGDG Tools to enrich research, extension, and other Campus PAP’s Initiatives, employing the GAD checklist as a guiding framework.
