Bataan Peninsula State University’s (BPSU’s) Strategy Management Office (SMO) headed by Dr. Sherrilyn B. Quintos visited DMMMSU for a Benchmarking Activity on September 15, 2023. Dr. Priscilo P. Fontanilla, Jr., VP for Planning and Development, and the other Officials and Staff under the planning and development office accommodated them at the Old Central Administration Office, Sapilang, Bacnotan, La Union.

BPSU benchmarked on DMMMSU’s digitalization system, methods, and tools to streamline procedures.  Prof. Lilito D. Gavina, Director for Infrastructure Planning and Futures Thinking, shared the following:

An Overview of the old and revised DMMMSU Organizational Structure highlighting the Institutional Planning and Futures Thinking Unit and its duties and responsibilities;

DMMMSU 2019-2024 strategic plan journey emphasizing the Preparation and Transition, its alignment with line agencies’ development plans and national and international policies, and the eight development goals of the university;

DMMMSU 2019-2024 strategic plan, goals, objectives, strategic initiatives, and targets; and

The conduct of Periodic Monitoring, Evaluation, and Recalibration of the target to ensure alignment to SDGs, SUC Levelling, PBB criterion, and other statutory and regulatory requirements.

The delegates were also toured at the Fisheries Research Training Institute (FRTI) and National Apiculture Research and Development Institute (NARTDI).  (By Ayu)
