DMMMSU hosted its 42nd Commencement Exercises and celebrated the graduation of 4018 students who completed their respective academic programs. They were led by 272 graduates who finished their academic programs with distinct honors.
To accommodate the numerous victors, the graduation ceremonies for the three Campuses and the Open University System were meticulously organized into separate rites. The South La Union Campus facilitated two rites at the JDA Hall on June 13. The Mid La Union Campus (MLUC) organized four rites at MLUC Covered Court on June 14, June 16, and June 19 each of which was graced by notable personalities namely Dr. Danilo B. Bose, Hon. Francisco Paolo P. Ortega V, and Dr. Teresita A. Tabaog. The Open University System held its ceremonies at the International Convention Center on June 17, and the North La Union Campus hosted its rites at Ortega Memorial Center on June 22 with Hon. Mario Eduardo C. Ortega as the guest of honor and speaker. The ceremonies were graced by administrators, faculty members, and parents.
Meanwhile, alumni who exhibited exceptional performance in licensure examinations were specially invited to the ceremonies. In a fitting tribute to their accomplishment, these achievers were bestowed with well-deserved cash incentives. The University President, Dr. Jaime I. Manuel, Jr., exemplifying his unwavering support of students, generously extended cash incentives from his Performance Based-Bonus (PBB). Among those honored were Eugene Ballesteros (Top 4, Agriculture), Stephanie Jan T. Mayrena (Top 7, Nursing), Sheen D. Rocacorba (Top 9, Nursing), and Marvin Eisma Perez (Top 7, Education). They were each awarded a cash prize amounting to P10,000. Following the conclusion of the commencement exercises, the 4018 triumphant graduates took a solemn oath, marking their transition into the ranks of DMMMSU alumni. This symbolic gesture not only signifies the end of their academic journey but also heralds the beginning of a new chapter in their lives, one in which they will carry the values and knowledge instilled by their alma matter making them ready to venture into the wider world.
