Three programs – two from the South La Union Campus and one from the Mid La Union Campus — were subjected to accreditation by the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP) , Inc. from March 27 to March 31, 2023.
AACCUP accreditors were led by Dr. Francis N. Baleta who served as the Overall Coordinator. BS in Midwifery (SLUC) was subjected for 1st Survey, MA in Home Economics (SLUC), MS in Fisheries (SLUC), and PhD in Mathematics (MLUC) both for Preliminary Survey.
The Closing Meeting held via Zoom earlier today, March 31, 2023 was participated in by the administrative officials, faculty members from the programs under survey, non-teaching staff, stakeholders, students and the Colleges of Graduate Studies (CGS) of MLUC and SLUC, and of Community Health and Allied Medical Sciences of SLUC. During the meeting, the findings and recommendations were presented by the AACCUP accreditation team and were acknowledged by the Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Elsie M. Pacho, and the Chancellors, Dr. Eduardo C. Corpuz of MLUC, and Dr. Joanne C. Rivera of SLUC.
As for his part, Dr. Jaime I. Manuel, Jr. wishes to extend his appreciation to the members of the workforce led by their Program Chairs (Ms. Marites Dagang, BS in Midwifery; Mr. Vladimir Cariaso, MA in Home Economics; Dr. Reginor Lyzza A. Roque, MS in Fisheries; Dr. Remalyn Casem, PhD in Mathematics) and the College Deans namely Dr. Isidro Duran, Prof. Gabriel Bacungan, Dr. Faith Tadeo, and Dr. Paulito Nisperos – for their sacrifice of time and efforts especially during the preparations of documents.
