Mr. Christian T. Montemayor of the College of Arts and Science in the South La Union Campus brought home the Best Paper Presenter Award during the International Conference on Multicultural Education and Interdisciplinary Studies (ICMEIS) 2023 which was held via Zoom on January 12-23, 2023.

Montemayor’s paper Mechanisms Towards Culture of Quality Leadership and Management in a Higher Education Institution forwards the idea that through the integration of a relevant and responsive quality assurance enhancement mechanism in administration and governance, teaching and learning, research and technology development, community extension, networks and linkages, and faculty exchange program and development, the institution could realize its mandates and main thrusts, operations, and services among its stakeholders.

The International Conference aimed to share recent and relevant educational practices and policies for the continuity of quality education in the post-pandemic era; network with international researchers, academicians, and undergraduate and graduate students from different Higher Education Institutions; facilitate a research colloquium for graduate students who are on thesis and dissertation writing stage; and promote the rich dimensions of multicultural education researchers in the Asia-Pacific Region and beyond.

Anchored in the theme of Normalizing Education in the Post-Pandemic Era, the conference was spearheaded by Philippine Normal University in Mindanao, a Center of Excellence in Teacher Education. (by Ayu)
