DMMMSU South La Union Campus team, headed by its Chancellor, Dr. Joanne C. Rivera, visited the Central Luzon State University (CLSU) located in the Science City of Muñoz, Nueva Ecija on February 9, 2023. They scouted CLSU’s farming technologies which can be adopted for the College of Fisheries (CF), College of Agriculture (CA), and College of Arts and Sciences’ (CAS) BS Biology Program.
CLSU Vice President for Administration, Dr. Evaristo A. Abella, received and welcomed the DMMMSU-SLUC delegates. In another fruitful dialogue, CLSU Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Renato G. Reyes, shared CLSU’s best practices on internationalization including how CLSU formulates institutional policies on internationalization.
In order to get a perspective of the academic and research culture of CLSU, the DMMMSU-SLUC team visited the CLSU’s KAMALIG (Keeping a Modern Agricultural Landscape through Integrating CLSU Generated Technologies) model farm. They also toured in the Center for Tropical Mushroom Research and Development, and other facilities and laboratories in fisheries, agriculture and biology programs.
