The Philippine National Police – Region 1 launched the Revitalized PNP KASIMBAYANAN (Kapulisan, Simbahan at Pamayanan) Tungo sa Kaunlaran at DMMMSU-MLUC Gymnasium on October 7, 2022. KASIMBAYANAN is a community mobilization program highlighting the synergized and collaborative partnership of the PNP with the general public and the religious sector with the end view of holistic transformation of the PNP organization and the community it serves and protects.
The event was graced by DILG Provincial Dir. Reggie R. Colisao, CESO V, who served as the guest of honor and speaker during the launch.
Highlights of the said launch were the pledge of commitment and its ceremonial signing by the GOHS, Provincial Director; Command Group; P-Staff; and other invited guests and partners; the overview of the Revitalized KASIMBAYANAN by PLTCOL Dennis N. Ballitoc, the Unit Chief of PCADU; distribution and pinning of KASIMBAYANAN pin buttons to all PNP personnel and KASIMBAYANAN partners; and messages of support from Bishop Daniel Oca Preeto, lmam Zainal Macapundag, Pastor Jonel Taopo, and Hon, Danilo P Abuan.
Furthermore, La Union Police Provincial Office, through its Project Gulong ng Suerte ELYU, also reached out the differently-abled indigent students enrolled in DMMMSU by providing wheelchair and other assistive equipment. Vanessa Marcelino Lopez, a BS Industrial Technology, received crutches from LUPPO. Meanwhile, Jed Gurtiza, a BS Mechanical Engineering, received wheelchair. (Jerald Saculles)
