Dr. Ricardo S. Guanzon, representative of Hon. Mark O. Go in DMMMSU Board of Regents, and consultant for DMMMSU’s soon to rise College of Medicine, is a recipient of the Dr. Jose P. Rizal Memorial Award for Academe. The award was given on May 22, 2022 during the 115th Annual Convention and Scientific Meetings, a partnership program of PMA and UNILAB initiated by the Southern Tagalog Association of Medical Practitioners.

Dr. Guanzon was awarded for making a great impact on the Philippine health systems, value-based healthcare, and delivery systems. He received as a specially designed Dr. Jose P. Rizal Memorial Awards Trophy and Medallion, cash prize, and PHP100,000 worth of Unilab medicines to be donated to a charitable institution of his own choice.

The Dr. Jose P. Rizal Memorial Award is an annual search for outstanding Filipino physicians who embody the ideals of the national hero in their lives, practice, and service. (Ayu)
