DMMMSU Mid La Union Campus (MLUC) conducted a training program and singing contest to celebrate Women’s Month 2025 with the theme, “Babae sa Lahat ng MLUC Sector, Aangat ang Bukas sa Bagong Pilipinas” at the College of Education Multipurpose Hall on March 26, 2025.

Dr. Eduardo C. Corpuz, Chancellor of MLUC, delivered an inspirational message. 

The training composed a comprehensive keynote speech delivered by Atty. Rozzanne Victoria Buccat-Villamin, the University Director for Legal Services. Her presentation focused on the Special Leave Benefit for Women as outlined in RA 9710, commonly known as the Magna Carta of Women, emphasizing its importance in advocating for women’s rights.

Ms. Rosemarie R. Caburian, President of Zonta Club of La Union-San Fernando City, addressed the audience, discussing the club’s mission to empower women worldwide through service and advocacy. She highlighted various activities that the organization undertakes to support women’s causes.

MLUC hosted the “Sa Ugoy ng Duyan” Singing Contest, featuring talented students from basic education schools who showcased their vocal skills which further enhanced the spirit of the celebration.

The program also included a special recognition segment honoring former Campus Gender and Development Heads for their invaluable contributions to advancing gender equity at the campus.
