The highlight of the program was the distribution of incentives. As per BOR Approved Resolution No. 202-537, since DMMMSU captured the championship title, each athlete in the individual category sports event received P 5,000.00, P 2,000.00, and P 1,000.00 for each gold, silver, and bronze medal, respectively. For team events, each athlete received P 1,200.00, P 1,000, and P 800.00 for each gold, silver, and bronze medal, respectively.

University President Dr. Jaime I. Manuel, Jr. motivated the athletes and their coaches and trainers, underscoring DMMMSU’s rigorous support in sports development through training, facilities, and incentives.

Hon. Paolo Ortega, La Union First District Representative, also delivered an inspiring message to the athletes. He praised DMMMSU’s strong support for their athletes and presented a reward of Php 200,000.00 for the entire team. Additionally, he pledged Php 2,000.00 for each athlete heading to Camiguin for the National SCUAA.

Hon. Dante S. Garcia, La Union Second District Representative, also awarded the entire team with a cash prize of Php 100,000.00.

Coaches of the winning teams also received Php 1,500.00 each.

The program concluded with a tribute to graduating student-athletes. They were acknowledged for their hard work and dedication during their time at DMMMSU.

Athletes who secured gold medals in their sports events are set to compete at the National SCUAA in Camiguin on April 20-27, 2025. (by Gloeduard G. Milanes)
