DMMMSU has taken a significant step towards inclusivity by forming an ad-hoc committee designated to craft a Disability Inclusion Policy. DMMMSU is firmly committed to institutionalizing disability inclusion across all phases of governance and management.
The AdHoc Committee, composed of Ms. Perla A. Sotelo, Atty. Rozzanne Victoria G. Buccat-Villamin, Atty. Kristine Gay B. Balanag, Dr. Maria Consuelo W. Alcantara, Dr. Shalimar L. Navalta, Dr. Mary Jane B. Dulay, Dr. Sherlyn Marie D. Nitura, Dr. Sonia B. Siago, Mr. Celso H. Jucutan, Dr. Paulo Jan Samson, Dr. Fatima R. Macadaeg, Ms. Aprille Joyce S. Galiste, Dr. Marlyn M. Amante, Dr. Rodelio V. Indong, and Mr. Napoleon Valeriano M. Cayabyab, a meeting at the DMMMSU-MLUC Library on March 3, 2025.
The University has implemented various initiatives to ensure accessible facilities and services, aligning with legal provisions such as Batas Pambansa No. 344 and Republic Act No. 7277 (Magna Carta for Disabled Persons).
Recently, DMMMSU-MLUC hosted a comprehensive Disability Sensitivity Training for faculty members and non-teaching personnel to foster awareness and sensitivity toward individuals with disabilities. (By Arrianne Michelle F. Fabro)
