DMMMSU Open University System has been awarded a Certificate of Accreditation as a Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Provider by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) – CPD Council for Professional Teachers.

This accreditation was granted following DMMMSU OUS’s successful completion of the requirements set by the Implementing Rules and Regulations of Republic Act No. 10912, also known as the CPD Act of 2016, as outlined in PRC Resolution No. 1032, series of 2017. The accreditation process ensures that CPD providers meet the necessary standards in designing and implementing training programs that enhance the competencies of professional teachers. By securing this accreditation, DMMMSU OUS can now formally offer CPD programs that contribute to the continuous growth and development of educators nationwide.

The initiative was spearheaded by Dr. Bernardo D. Lamadrid, the Executive Director and CPD Manager of DMMMSU OUS, along with Dr. Romeo C. Opeňa Jr., the Training Chief of the Continuing Professional Education and Development. (By Claudia Denise P. Barbadillo)
