Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University (DMMMSU) has been selected as one of the partner institutions for the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) and the Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization (SEAMEO) project, “Preparing Higher Education Teachers to Innovate Using Digital Technologies-Philippine Learning Sessions.”

As part of the initiative, DMMMSU hosted a training workshop at the Mid La Union Campus, Administration Building, Conference Room from February 24 to 26, 2025. The training was based on UNESCO’s AI ethics guidelines.

The workshop objectives include 1) Understanding foundational AI concepts and real-world applications in higher education; 2) Analyzing ethical considerations and best practices for AI in academic environments; 3) Leveraging LMS platforms and digital tools for learner-centered content; and 3) Developing strategies for enhancing communication, research, and collaboration through AI-powered micro-lessons.
