Lingayen, Pangasinan – The Department of Tourism Region 1 (DOT RO1), in partnership with the Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University (DMMMSU), officially launched the Tourism Guide Book for Region 1 at Casa Real in Lingayen, Pangasinan on February 5, 2025.

 The event was attended by a wide range of participants, including media partners, tour operators, provincial tourism officers, tour guides, and other stakeholders in the tourism industry. The launch aimed to highlight the rich cultural heritage, historical landmarks, and tourism potential of the Ilocos Region.

The guidebook, a comprehensive resource, showcases the best destinations, historical sites, and travel experiences in Region 1, serving as an essential tool for tourists, travel enthusiasts, and industry professionals alike. With its detailed maps, historical insights, and local tips, the guidebook is designed to help visitors appreciate the local history of the region and explore its unique charm.

The event also provided a platform for collaboration among local stakeholders, reinforcing the importance of tourism in the region’s development. DOT RO1 and DMMMSU expressed their commitment to promoting the historical sites of Region 1 to help encourage and sustain tourism growth for the years to come.
