Bachelor of Culture and Arts Education faculty members and students culminated the week-long celebration of DMMMSU’s 44th Foundation Anniversary through an outstanding full-house 2-hour culture and arts concert at the Jose D. Aspiras Hall.
Attended by hundreds of students and members of the academic community, the resident art groups of the Program and the College of Education mesmerized the crowd with songs, dances, and theatrical acts that represent the colorful Filipino identity and heritage.
The program-based resident art groups include the DMMMSU Pangkat Kawayan, DMMMSU Kuwerdas, DMMMSU Chorale, BCAED Theater Group, and the Rimat Ti Amianan Folkloric Group. The groups of students majoring in Culture and the Arts showed impeccable talent and mastery of the skills with the guidance of their mentors in different art fields and major subjects.
CJ Fuertes, a student of the College of Arts and Sciences, wrote in a Facebook post that it is the “right show to close the celebration” since it reminds us of our remarkable excellence in our Alma Mater.
Meanwhile, Myla Servito, the 2025 Student Leader of the year of the University extended her congratulatory message by mentioning on a separate post: “Napakagaling po! Bukod sa napakahusay, wala pong kapansin-pansin na dead air. Can’t wait na masundan po ulit!”
The well-applauded concert is part of the program’s thrust to develop future educators with proficiency in creative expressions such as visual arts, music, drama, and dance. As stipulated in CMO No. 82 s. 2017 the students must be able to apply their skills in culture in the arts rooted in Filipino values and creativity.
