On December 10, 2024, the Institutional Planning and Futures Thinking (IPFT) Office facilitated the CY 2025 Operational Planning Workshop, which was attended by the University’s Top management, Heads of Operating Units, and Function Directors at the Conference Room, DMMMSU – North La Union Campus, Bacnotan, La Union.
The workshop which was organized by Mr. Charlie C. de Vera, Director for IPFT, aimed to equip participants with the knowledge and tools necessary to develop an effective operational plan (OPLAN) for the 2025 fiscal year. The OPLAN serves as a roadmap to ensure all units and offices contribute to DMMMSU’s vision and mission.
During the opening, Dr. Jaime I. Manuel Jr., the University President, delivered his message emphasizing that all OPLANs must be aligned with DMMMSU’s vision, mission, and goals. He highlighted the importance of creating realistic plans that meet the requirements of various accrediting bodies. He concluded by encouraging participants to actively engage in strategizing the attainment of DMMMSU’s vision.
Mr. de Vera presented the standard operating procedures (SOPs) and the guidelines for preparing the OPLAN. This was followed by individual work sessions where some participants presented their workshop output.
In her closing remarks, Dr. Vicky A. Agpasa, Vice President for Academic and International Affairs, expressed gratitude for the active participation of all attendees and acknowledged their contributions toward developing a robust CY 2025 OPLANs as a reflection of DMMMSUs collective commitment to excellence.
