Ten (10) Bachelor of Science in Computer Science (BSCS) students from Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University (DMMMSU) successfully passed the Philippine National IT Standards (PhilNITS) IT Passport Certification Exam. The exam was conducted on October 27, 2024 at the Mid-La Union Campus, City of San Fernando, La Union.
This certification is a well-known global credential that validates essential IT knowledge and skills across various domains such as computer hardware, software development, networking, security, business strategy, problem-solving techniques, and project management. Passing the exam signifies a strong foundation in IT fundamentals, equipping them with a competitive edge in the tech industry.
The successful examinees include: John Railey R. Apilado, Irene U. Bongato, John Marleon D. Fontanilla, Shaira Jade L. Obillo, Louie Ace I. Paneda, Kyle Dennis S. Regacho, Mark David C. Saranilla, Fritzel E. Sile, Earl John D. Tavor, and Galilee Justine G. Tigas.
Prof. Enrico G. Dacanay, Dean of the College of Computer Science, expressed pride in this students’ achievement as certifications increase their employability and aligns to the College’s goal of producing globally competitive IT professionals.
