The Young Earthsavers’ Society of DMMMSU Institute of Environmental Studies and Environmental Concerns, Sustainability and Development Unit conducted a Climate Walk at the North La Union Campus, Sapilang, Bacnotan, La Union, on November 27, 2024.

This was carried out in celebration of National Environmental Awareness and Education Month, and the 17th National Consciousness on Global Warming and Climate Change.

A Climate Walk is a form of awareness campaign, or educational initiative focused on addressing climate change. It involves participants walking through specific routes or distances, often while engaging communities along the way to discuss environmental issues, advocate for sustainable practices, or call for policy changes.

Climate Walks bring attention to the urgency of the climate crisis in a visible and engaging way, inspiring action and community solidarity in the fight against climate change.

Young Earthsavers’ Society’s conduct of Climate Walk is part of the 26th Foundation Anniversary of the Young Earthsavers’ Society with the theme YES@26: Empowering Youth as Eco-based SDG Heroes”. (By Celso H. Jucutan)
