DMMMSU’s researchers, extension professionals, and students dominated the 2nd Regional Research Development and Innovation Symposium (RRDIS) and 5th Industry, Energy, and Emerging Technology Research and Development Symposium and Competition, held at J&V Hotel and Resort, City of San Fernando, La Union on November 13-15, 2024.
The Ilocos Consortium for Industry, Energy, and Emerging Technology Research and Development (ICIEERD) hosted this year’s RRDIS, in partnership with the City Government of San Fernando, La Union.

The three-day symposium, themed “Fostering Synergy for Sustainable Development: Collaborative Research and Innovation across Industries, agriculture, Fisheries, Health, and Local Governance” included plenary sessions, paper, and technology pitches competitions, as well as exhibits to highlight groundbreaking research, new technologies, and collaborative models that aim to address regional challenges.
