Manuel, Jr., University President, declared these words of victory following the presentation of observations and audit findings by W3 Solutionz’ Ms. Gemachita Telan during the closing meeting held at the International Convention Center, Bacnotan, La Union, yesterday, November 15, 2021.
Ms. Telan recommended that DMMMSU proceed to Stage 2 audit, scheduled on December 5-6, 2024. The auditor also identified areas for improvement, which will guide the University’s preparation for the Stage 2 audit.
The 2-day audit commenced with an opening meeting, which emphasized key elements of the Quality Management System (QMS):
- Context and organization understanding
- Leadership and commitment
- Customer focus and satisfaction
- Risk management and opportunities
- QMS planning, operational monitoring, and resource provision
Ms. Telan conducted a detailed evaluation of QMS documents, policies, procedures, and work instructions. Offices such as the Human Resource Office, Procurement Office, Internal Quality Assurance Office, and Sports Unit were audited. Additionally, Units, including the Open University System, Sericulture Research and Development Institute (SRDI), and the North La Union Campus, were assessed. (By Ayu)
