Kiechelle B. Genetiano, a fourth-year BS Psychology student from DMMMSU-SLUC, emerged as the champion of the ASEAN Photography Competition held during the Don Honorio Ventura State University (DHVSU) Festival at the Dr. Ernesto C. Nicdao Sports Center in Bacolor, Pampanga on September 17, 2024.

Genetiano secured the top spot with her entry, which showcased the importance of local craftsmanship and small enterprises in Pugo, La Union. Her photograph aligned with the competition’s theme, “When ASEAN Meets SDGs Twice,” specifically addressed Sustainable Development Goal 8, which promotes inclusive and sustainable economic growth.

The competition was organized by DHVSU and aimed to highlight the contributions of ASEAN member states in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals. (By Jolina Diolanda)
