Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University (DMMMSU) hosted the “2024 Regional Recognition and Awards Rites” at the International Convention Center, Bacnotan, La Union on September 27, 2024.

The event, themed “Transforming Public Service in the Next Decade: Honing Agile and Future-Ready Servant-Heroes,” aimed to recognize civil servants who have shown utmost dedication and commitment to their work and inspire other state employees toward deeper involvement in public service. 

Dr. Elsie M. Pacho, VP for Academic and International Affairs, welcomed the CSC officials, personnel, awardees, their families, and other delegates to DMMMSU. 

Atty. Mel John L. Versoza, Undersecretary of the Department of Education, graced the event as the guest of honor and speaker. In his message, he expressed his deep appreciation and congratulations to the awardees for their dedication and excellence in public service. Atty. Versoza acknowledged the challenges in public service and commended the awardees for their commitment despite the obstacles. “This recognition is a testament to your consistent hard work,” he stated. He also congratulated the CSC for their strategic reforms and for adopting a decade-long theme on transforming public service.

A total of twenty-five awardees from different government agencies received prestigious awards, including Professor Andie John D. Tadeo and Professor Eduard M. Albay from DMMMSU. (By Aniway P. Millares)
