DMMMSU forged partnership with the University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB) through a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) approved during the  DMMMSU Board Meeting on July 5, 2024 through Board Resolution No. 2024-941.b, and signed on October 1, 2024.

The MOU outlines several areas of cooperation, including student and faculty exchanges, joint research, continuing education programs, and co-hosted academic events. Other potential initiatives include dual degree programs, professional development, and the development of capacity-building programs in communication, media, business administration, and engineering to support sustainable community development.

Representing DMMMSU, Dr. Jaime I. Manuel Jr., University President, signed the MOU, while Professor Imran Rahman, ULAB Vice Chancellor, represented the Bangladeshi institution. Both institutions aim to strengthen their academic ties and expand international cooperation, reinforcing their commitment to global education and sustainable partnerships.

ULAB is a private liberal arts-based university in Mohammadpur, Dhaka, Bangladesh. It has won the Social Science Silver Award for 2021 in the Wharton–QS Reimagine Education Awards, otherwise known as the “Oscars of Education,” and is ranked 69th worldwide based on the 2024 World’s Universities with Real Impact (WURI) Ranking.

This partnership emerged as a result of linkages established during a visit by delegates from DMMMSU University International Affairs to universities in Bangladesh in May 2024, where they negotiated exchange programs and explored Erasmus model referencing activities.
