DMMMSU hosted a benchmarking activity for the delegates of Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) at DMMMSU-SLUC Administration Building Conference Hall, Agoo, La Union on September 13, 2024.
The delegation is composed of 36 personnel who aimed to look at the best practices of DMMMSU in its College of Agriculture (CA) and in the fields of research and extension.
Highlighting the strengths in agriculture, research, and extension programs, SLUC Chancellor Dr. Joanne C. Rivera shared with TAU her visions and recent innovations in the CA such as the beekeeping demonstration apiary of the National Apiculture Research Training and Development Institute (NARTDI) and the eco-tourism development plan in the Alipang site.
CA Dean Prof. Ferdinand M. Navarro together with Dr. Anabella G. Valdez presented best practices and special projects in the College of Agriculture.
SLUC Research Head Dr. Eduard M. Albay, Innovation and Technology Commercialization Head Prof. Led Karen Zamudio, and Extension Head Prof. Ronald B. Bustos together with some faculty members from the College of Agriculture and staff from Research and Extension offices shared their respective best practices, especially in these evolving times.
Dr. Edmar N. Franquera, TAU Vice President for Research, Extension, and Training thanked SLUC’s team for the generous exchange of ideas while looking forward to possible future collaborations. (by Ronald Bustos)
