DMMMSU’s Gender and Development (GAD) Office conducted a 2-day Gender Mainstreaming, Gender Analysis, and Gender Mainstreaming Evaluation Framework (GMEF) Tool Training Workshop on July 8 and 12, 2024.

Dr. Shelyn Marie D. Nitura, Director for GAD, organized the workshop, which was attended by the DMMMSU GAD Focal Point System (FPS). The workshop is intended to identify and address the possible disparities within the university’s policies, programs, and processes.

During the opening, Prof. Lilito D. Gavina, Vice-Chair, GAD FPS, emphasized the significance of the activity as a crucial step in DMMMSU’s collective journey towards fostering an inclusive and equitable environment within the academic institution. “As we gather here, we recognize the indispensable role that gender equality plays in enriching our educational landscape, enhancing our research, and ensuring that all voices are heard and valued,” he added.

Ms. Mariz Dafnae H. Mendoza, GAD Resource Person, National Economic and Development Authority – Regional Office 1 (NEDA-RO1), serves as the resource person.

On the last day, the participants eagerly participated in a productive workshop and presentation of outputs.
