On May 15, 2024, DMMMSU welcomed officials from Cavite State University (CvSU) at the Mid La Union Campus, San Fernando City, and the Central Administration in Raois, Bacnotan, La Union.

The CaVSU officials, led by their Vice President for Administrative and Support Services, Dr. John Xavier B. Nepomuceno, were interested in gaining insights into the best practices of DMMMSU’s support services.

Ms. Camille P. Ermino, Administrative Officer III of CvSU, introduced the delegates, who were warmly welcomed by Prof. Lilito D. Gavina, VP for Administration and Quality Assurance, and Dr. Eduardo C. Corpuz, Chancellor of the Mid La Union Campus.

The delegates were oriented on the following processes in DMMMSU:

• PRIME-HR by Atty. Kristine Gay B. Balanag,
• ISO Certification by Atty. Kate P. Licay, Director for Quality Assurance System and Concurrent Director for Internal Audit,
• Disaster Risk Reduction Management (DRRM) by Prof. Randulph I. Navasca, Director for Disaster Risk Reduction and Management,
• Finance Services by Ms. Placida E. De Guzman, Director for Finance Services,
• Security Services by Mr. Napoleon Valeriano M. Cayabyab, Director for Security Service, and
• Program Accreditation and Institutional Sustainability Assessment (ISA) by Dr. Joan V. Rivera, MLUC’s Head for Instruction.

The visit provided CvSU officials with valuable insights into DMMMSU’s processes and practices, which could help them enhance their own institutional support services. (By Ayu)
