DMMMSU faculty members Dr. Andie John Tadeo of the North La Union Campus, Prof. Oscar Ancheta, Jr., and Prof. Daniel P. Ong, Jr. of the Mid La Union Campus were conferred with Best Presenter and First Best Conference Paper awards in the recently concluded 1st International Research Opportunities, Development, and Extension Outcomes (IRODEO) Conference 2024 held at Magallanes, Coliseum, Masbate City.
Dr. Andie John Tadeo was recognized as the Best Oral Research Presenter. Dr. Tadeo’s research paper, “Reproductive Performance of Improved Reeds of Tilapia (IEST and Red Tilapia) at Different Salinity,” is part of the Smart Agriculture, Fishery, and Coastal Resource Management Program. The same award was given in the category of extension programs in his research titled “Solar Sea Salt Making with High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) Platform”
On the other hand, Prof. Oscar Ancheta, Jr. and Prof. Daniel P. Ong, Jr. presented their research online titled “Development of Virtual Science Interactive Learning Materials According to the Addie Model”. They received the First Best Conference Paper award. Meanwhile, other DMMMSU Professors, namely Dr. Junifer Rey Tabafunda, Dr. Minerva Tabafunda, Dr. CF Omar Domingo, and Prof. Keneth Bayani also presented their research papers.
The 1st International Research Opportunities, Development, and Extension Outcomes (IRODEO) Conference 2024 aimed to highlight cutting-edge research across multiple disciplines, provide a platform for the exchange of ideas and methodologies, encourage discussions on emerging trends and challenges in various fields, facilitate cross-disciplinary collaboration and networking among researchers, and foster the development of collaborative research initiatives.
The IRODEOCon2024 was organized by Dr. Emilio Espinosa Sr. Memorial State College of Agriculture and Technology (DEBESMSCAT) and was anchored in the theme Bridging Horizons: Integrating Knowledge for Regenerative Futures. (By RMV)
