Fourteen (14) tutors and nonteaching personnel of Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University (DMMMSU) Open University System Philippines (DOUS) participated in Lecture Series 1 on Global Educational Research Paradigm organized by Asia Association of Open Universities (AAOU) on February 28, 2024.

The online event allowed educators from diverse backgrounds. Prof. M. Gorky Sembiring, representing Universitas Terbuka, Indonesia, and Dr. Thirumeni Subramaniam, hailing from Open University Malaysia, talked about various facets of the evolving educational research paradigm, providing attendees with invaluable perspectives.

During his opening remarks, AAOU President Prof. Ojat Darojat, also the Rector of Universitas Terbuka, Indonesia, emphasized the significance of collaborative endeavors in advancing educational discourse and allowing meaningful connections across academic boundaries.

The AAOU Lecture Series served as a platform for intellectual exchange.

DOUS, led by Dr. Bernardo D. Lamadrid, Executive Director, has been a member of AAOU since 2004.
