Around 80 contractual faculty members participated in a Gender and Development (GAD) Scoring Training for research proposals in DMMMSU South La Union Campus (SLUC) – Fisheries Research Training Institute, Sto. Tomas, La Union, from March 14 to 15.
The training was conducted by the GAD Office of DMMMSU SLUC in cooperation with the University GAD and Research Units to equip new faculty members on temporary status in preparing research proposals that are gender-responsive.
University Director for Research Keneth Bayani and Coordinator for Planning, Monitoring, and Budgeting (Research) Gerry Galvez served as resource persons on the first day.
On the second day, the participants worked on their research proposals and filled out the GAD checklist to determine the GAD score of their proposal.
Director Bayani and Prof. Ces Myra Mabalot, University GAD Coordinator for Research and Extension, evaluated the research proposals. (By Ces Myra Mabalot)
