Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University Research Unit evaluated 61 new studies spanning across disciplines, namely Education, Health and Social Sciences, Agriculture and Agribusiness, and Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) during the first quarter Agency In-House Review (AIHR) of Research Proposals held at DMMMSU-Open University System (OUS), San Fernando City, La Union on March 12, 2024. 

Thirty (30) proposals came from the South La Union Campus (SLUC), 14 from the North La Union Campus (NLUC),  14 from the Mid La Union Campus (MLUC ), and 3 from the Open University System (OUS).

This initiative was spearheaded by Prof. Keneth G. Bayani, University’s Director for Research, who underscored DMMMSU’s commitment to advancing knowledge and addressing societal challenges through research. 

During the opening program, Prof. Bayani also introduced the mechanics of the presentation and introduced the evaluators during the AIHR. The evaluators were Dr. Nora A. Oredina, Dr. Nona M. Rivera, Dr. Noime M. Boado, Dr. Melda M. Uychoco, Dr. Maria Teresa Y. Acantilado, and Prof. Keneth G. Bayani (for Education); Prof. Rolando P. Roncal, Jr., Atty. Allan Hil B. Pajimola, Dr. Tiffany Ruth R. Quinitip, and Prof. Farland D. Valera (for Health and Social Sciences); Dr. Genaro D. Omo, Prof. Yolanda B. Angeles, Prof. Ferdinand M. Navarro, Prof. Russel B. Barrameda, and Dr. CF Omar Bernardino D. Domingo (for Agriculture and Agribusiness); and Prof. Maylen D. Rodriguez, Prof. Rufo A. Baro, Dr. Manny R. Hortizuela, and Dr. Enrico G. Dacanay (for Information and Communication Technology). Following the in-house review, the proposed studies will further undergo research processes following research SOPs. (By John Mark Lachica)
