The College of Education (CE) and the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Agoo, La Union, formalized their partnership for the implementation of Project LEAP (Learning Enhancement and Advancement Program) and Project STITCH (Skills Training Initiatives in Technology for Community and Home Economics) by signing two Memoranda of Agreement (MOAs).

The signing ceremony was led by Dr. Nona M. Rivera, the Dean of the College of Education, and Hon. Frank O. Sibuma, Mayor of Agoo, La Union.

Project LEAP is strategically designed to empower and enhance the capabilities of teachers serving on the Local School Board. The initiative aims to provide essential resources and training to augment the skills and knowledge of educators in Agoo.

On the other hand, Project STITCH aims to equip teachers and students with vital skills crucial for their livelihood. With a focus on technology and home economics, this initiative aims to empower the community by imparting practical, hands-on expertise essential for professional and personal development.

The signing of the MOAs symbolizes a collaborative effort between the academic institution and the local government, highlighting their joint commitment to uplift the quality of education by capacitating teachers within the community. (By Renz Ferrera)
