DMMMSU concluded a rigorous Second-Party Audit, a preparatory step for the ISO 9001:2015 re-certification audit. The mock audit, a strategic measure to fortify the University’s Quality Management System before its formal re-certification, took place in all the seven Units of the University on November 6 to 8, 2023.

For three days, the consultancy team composed of Margel Albano-Jajurie (Team Leader), Eric Luke Vinluan, Deck Vinluan, Chona Beltran, Rico Pendon, and Lanie Villacruzada of Macro Consultancy, scrutinized the various processes of the University.

As part of the audit, University auditees were tasked to concentrate on several critical areas, including the organization and updating of relevant documents and records, proficiency in Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and a comprehensive understanding of the University’s foundational principles, such as its Vision, Mission, and Core Values.

Additionally, the auditors assessed the effectiveness of client feedback response mechanisms and the thoroughness of Nonconformity (NC) and Opportunity for Improvement (OFI) reports. The University also emphasized the implementation of the 7S Standards of Good Housekeeping, essential for upholding a robust Quality Management System.

During the closing meeting which took place at the Audio Visual Room at the Mid La Union Campus, President Jaime I. Manuel, Jr. boldly accepted the result of the mock audit and encouraged all auditees to “positively accept the recommendations and work on them.” (By Zander Christopher Mercado)
