Three (3) students from Universitas Jambi (UNJA) are deployed in the North La Union Campus. Six (6) students from Universitas PGRI Semarang (UPRGIS) are designated at the South La Union Campus. Meanwhile, four (4) students from Universitas Nusa Cendana (UNDANA) are deployed the Mid-La Union Campus.
“I thank our SEAMEO partners and existing allies, Universitas PGRI Semarang, Universitas Jambi, Universitas Nusa Cendana and Universitas Kristen Indonesia in Indonesia, for their trusts in DMMMSU. Together, we will create a brighter future for our students, our communities, and our nations. I would also like to express my appreciation to the SEAMEO organization for their unwavering support and dedication to advancing education in our region.” Dr. Elsie M. Pacho, DMMMSU Vice President for Academic and International Affairs, expressed during her speech.
Helmed by the Southeast Asia Ministers of Education Organization, the SEAMEO SEA Teacher Project 2023 is a pre-service student teacher exchange program that aims to provide future teachers in Southeast Asia with the opportunity to have teaching experiences and gain a broader regional and world view. The practicum period is for one month, during which the students will be assigned to schools in other Southeast Asian countries. Their roles and responsibilities will vary weekly, including observation, assisting in teaching, creating lesson plans, teaching, and reflection.
DMMMSU also sent four (4) DMMMSU students to UNJA and UPRGRIS to participate in the same program.
