Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University concluded the institutional evaluation of faculty documents on September 14, 2023 for the First Cycle of Faculty Reclassification per DBM-CHED Joint Circular No. 3, s. 2022.

After months of thorough assessment and scrutiny by the Institutional Evaluation Committee (IEC) chaired by Dr. Elsie M. Pacho, DMMMSU Vice President for Academic and International Affairs, the documents for University Professors and Professors I to VI were finally submitted to the Commission on Higher Education – Central Office through the Office of Institutional Quality Assurance and Governance which is incharge of the Reclassification of Faculty Positions in SUCs in Quezon City today, September 15.

Meanwhile, documents for instructor to associate professor positions were delivered to Mariano Marcos State University which will serve as the Regional Center for the implementation of the said reclassification for all SUCs in Region 1. The Overall Summary Sheets and Individual Summary Sheets were submitted to CHED RO1.

The DBM-CHEd Joint Circular No. 3, s. 2022 titled “Guidelines on the Reclassification of Faculty Positions in State Universities and Colleges (SUCs),” aims to provide an updated and revised policies and guidelines for the reclassification of faculty positions across SUCs. It also serves as basis for policy decisions for faculty development in SUCs. Finally, it aims to motivate faculty members to upgrade their ranks and compensation by improving their academic qualifications, achievement, and performance.

Overall, 282 faculty members were submitted for reclassification.

Jonald Carrera, Mr. Ronan Floresca, Dr. Daniel Neri, Ms. Mariz V Dacanay, Dr. Aisha Sevilleja, and Ms Audrey Leoderes.

Special thanks are also extended to the many heroes who worked behind the scene, and to President Jaime I. Manuel, Jr. and all the University and Campus Officials for their unwavering support in facilitating the promotion (reclassification) of faculty members.
