Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University made a significant stride in its pursuit of becoming a global university during a recent workshop entitled: “Routes and Checkpoints: Journey towards Curriculum Development and Internationalization – A Workshop on Building DMMMSU’s Global University Brand.” It was held at the DMMMSU International Convention Center on August 30, 2023.

Dr. Christine N. Ferrer, Regional Director of the Commission on Higher Education – Region 1, together with other renowned CHED Education Supervisors, served as resource speakers during the said event.

The workshop drew participants from different DMMMSU operating units. The event aimed to foster discussion and collaborations to enhance curriculum development and internationalization efforts of DMMMSU.

The workshop included sessions on: 1) Workshop on Curriculum Development & Contents Notation; 2) Best practices in international programs, linkages, and projects; 3) Strategic planning process and accountability indicators of IZN and the SDGs; and 4). Preparations and Workshops: Global Rankings and Partnerships.

“Our vision is to provide our students with a world-class education that equips them with skills and knowledge needed to succeed in a globalized society. This workshop is a significant step toward realizing that vision,” DMMMSU President Jaime I. Manuel. Jr., emphasized in his speech during the event.
